Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and document vital signs and observed changes in condition
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and report concerns to the nursing team
Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Help promote resident dignity, independence, and social engagement
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

Certified GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification or equivalent state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: ADLs, vital signs, safe patient handling
Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety best practices
Good documentation and reporting skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
Compassion, patience, and an understanding of geriatric care needs
