Roles & Responsibilities

Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams with technical proficiency and attention to patient safety
Operate CT and X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images and adherence to radiation safety protocols
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections according to policy and training
Prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and necessary medications prior to procedures
Maintain quality assurance processes and assist with equipment checks and documentation
Follow and promote Enloe Medical Center core values and ARRT Standards of Ethics in daily practice
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare team members to support excellent patient care

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) required
Approved CPR certification required
ARRT registration and radiologic technologist fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire (as noted)
Desired: Two years experience in diagnostic x-ray and one year experience in CT
Desired: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification, advanced CT certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging principles
Proficient in patient positioning and patient care techniques
Skilled in radiation safety, exposure principles, and quality assurance
Competent in IV venipuncture and contrast media administration
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
