Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, observations, and patient responses accurately
Assist nursing staff in implementing care plans and reporting changes in condition
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, maintaining dignity and comfort
Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies including infection control
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (completion of an accredited CNA program required)
High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and background checks

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with patient care basics and activities of daily living
Understanding of infection prevention and proper hygiene techniques
Ability to measure and document vital signs accurately
Good time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
Respectful, compassionate bedside manner and patient-centered focus
Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail
