Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Mixed/rotating shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (day); On-call/overnight coverage Saturday 5:30 PM - Monday 6:30 AM (overnight/night). Rotating 9-, 10- and 12-hour shifts; every 4th weekend for day shifts and every other weekend for overnight shifts; 2 holidays per year required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate MRI scanners safely and skillfully to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Perform MRI studies including sedation/general anesthesia and breast MRI with compassion and attention to detail
- Manage imaging for patients with conditional pacemakers following established safety protocols
- Float to CT or cover X-ray during night shifts as needed to support department flow
- Document studies and patient care accurately in EPIC and McKesson PACS
- Respond to on-call and weekend responsibilities promptly and professionally
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and department policies, including fingernail and infection control standards
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing training to maintain excellence in care
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MRI-related experience
- Valid driver’s license at submittal (used to verify radius eligibility)
- CT and X-ray competency required for night shift applicants
- Experience with Siemens Espree, Siemens Trio, and GE Architect systems is a plus
- Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson PACS
- Ability to work mixed shift patterns, take call, and meet weekend/holiday requirements
- Candidates may not be currently full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit facilities (including CHI and/or Dignity)
Education
- Completion of an accredited MRI or Radiologic Technology program preferred
- ARRT registration required
- BLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI protocols and safety, including sedation and anesthesia workflows
- Experience imaging pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, and ER presentations
- Competence with conditional pacemaker MRI protocols
- Hands-on familiarity with Siemens and GE MRI platforms
- Proficiency using EPIC for charting and McKesson PACS for image management
- Radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Excellent patient positioning, communication, and infection control practices
- Ability to triage and prioritize in a fast-paced department
