Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Support meal assistance and feeding when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
- Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification as required by facility
- Ability to pass background and health screenings as required
- Reliable transportation required for this local-only assignment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in safe patient handling and basic mobility assistance
- Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Comfortable with basic clinical tasks like vitals, ADLs, and documentation
- Good observational skills to notice changes in condition and escalate appropriately
- Customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and families
