Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care: assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and teamwork
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Deliver respectful, patient-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
• Document care accurately and thoroughly to maintain clear, up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to promote recovery and well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — T-CNA accepted where applicable
• Prior experience as a CNA or in direct patient care (recommended but open to confident new grads)
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and team members
• Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding, background checks, and immunizations per policy

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA program or equivalent training
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient hygiene
• Basic understanding of vital sign measurement and observation
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient-centered approach
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
