Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and resident interactions
- Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and other team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (must be active or eligible in Pennsylvania)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working directly with residents
- Reliable, professional, and able to follow facility policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Observation skills to notice and report changes in resident condition
- Ability to work in a fast-paced care environment with empathy and patience
