Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients and residents
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with coworkers
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful care
Qualifications
- Current LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to complete facility-required screenings and background checks
- Previous long-term care or clinical experience is a plus but not required
Education
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene and mobility assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation
- Infection control and safe handling practices
- Accurate documentation and charting
- Empathy, patience, and effective communication with residents and staff
