Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and care
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Provide safe, compassionate patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care provided and observations
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team to advocate for patients’ needs and comfort
• Respect patient privacy and follow facility policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification or state equivalent (NH) or eligibility to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling physical aspects of patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Professional, reliable, and committed to patient-centered care
• Previous experience as an LNA preferred but new grads from an approved program are welcome

Education

• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control standards
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Competence with safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Good documentation and time-management abilities
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and families
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes in condition promptly
