Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support with dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in condition promptly
- Perform safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support the nursing team in implementing individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to promote a positive care environment
Qualifications
- Current state Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Reliable, compassionate approach to resident-centered care
- Comfortable with basic documentation and following care plans
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting helpful but enthusiastic newcomers are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Team player with good time-management and prioritization
