Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
- Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy about care plans and instructions
- Maintain infection control standards and a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — eligible to practice in New Mexico
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications are a plus
- Comfortable with per diem scheduling and flexible availability
- Strong clinical assessment and safe medication administration skills
- Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements including background checks
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Infection prevention and safety practices
- Clear communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
