Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents to support dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in residents status to the nursing team promptly
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with colleagues and families
- Support a positive, safe environment by following facility policies and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (required)
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic resident care
- Reliable, patient-centered attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans and document care clearly
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care needs and respectful resident handling
- Skill in assisting with ADLs and basic mobility support
- Basic documentation and observation skills
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
- Understanding of infection control and safety practices
