Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and document administration according to policy
• Implement and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Respond rapidly to clinical emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and handoff reports
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and safety

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by unit
• Current immunizations and health screenings per facility policy
• Demonstrated clinical assessment skills and ability to manage acutely ill patients
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred but new grads may be considered for certain roles

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Experience with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
• Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and supporting patient-centered care
• Basic telemetry and monitoring knowledge as relevant to the unit
