Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, self-scheduling with cyclic rotation; every-other weekend and holiday rotation (12-hour nights, 36 guaranteed hours/week)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality post-operative ortho and med-surg nursing care for joint replacement and spine patients
- Administer IV medications, pain management, and set-rate infusions per physician orders
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in EPIC
- Collaborate with tele/monitor techs, patient care techs, and charge nurses to ensure safe, coordinated care
- Perform patient assessments, monitor recovery, and escalate changes in condition promptly
- Support patient mobility and education after total joint and spine procedures to promote positive outcomes
- Contribute to a team-focused environment by assisting colleagues, taking ownership of assigned patients, and remaining flexible with unit needs
Qualifications
- Current, active RN licensure eligible for submission
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (Med Surg/Ortho experience strongly preferred)
- BLS certification (required at time of submission)
- Valid driver's license required at submittal to confirm radius eligibility
- Comfortable with EPIC documentation and basic telemetry familiarity
- Willingness to complete and pass a Friday pass/fail orientation exam (90% required)
- Ability to comply with facility policies (e.g., artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas)
- Team player attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and adapt
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Associate or Diploma in Nursing, or BSN (BSN not required per posting)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid post-operative ortho care for total knee, hip, shoulder, ankle, and spine patients
- IV medication administration and familiarity with common set-rate drips (pain meds, antibiotics, blood)
- Basic telemetry familiarity and ability to work with tele techs
- Proficient EPIC documentation skills
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and patient education abilities
- Time management, teamwork, and the ability to float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed
