Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with clinical confidence
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Administer medications and therapies accurately and document care in the patient record
Support families with clear communication and education during high-stress moments
Participate in unit orientation and onboarding activities to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure (California licensure expected for practice in Sacramento)
Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings
Willingness to complete required orientation for this assignment
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in pediatric critical care

Knowledge & Skills

PICU clinical practices and protocols
Pediatric patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and IV/infusion management
Collaborative teamwork and clear clinical communication
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
