Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, family-centered PICU nursing care to critically ill children
Assess and monitor patients’ clinical status and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and manage advanced therapies safely and accurately
Educate and support families through complex care situations with compassion
Document patient care clearly and timely to maintain continuity and safety

Qualifications

Current RN license (California) required or eligible
PICU experience preferred; comfort with pediatric critical care environments
BLS required; PALS and other pediatric certifications strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven setting
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and family-centered care approach

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of pediatric critical care principles and ICU equipment
Skilled in patient assessment, ventilator management basics, and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficient in medication administration and pediatric dosing safety
Strong teamwork, prioritization, and crisis-management skills
Comfortable with electronic medical records and clear documentation practices
