Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care nursing for pediatric ICU patients
• Monitor and assess patient condition, interpreting data and responding swiftly
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Educate and support families through critical care episodes with empathy
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain unit standards and protocols
• Contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts (or compact licensure where applicable)
• Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) or critical care nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity pediatric settings
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Willingness to complete required orientation prior to independent assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills specific to pediatric critical care
• Familiarity with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive infusions
• Skilled in IV/line management, medication administration and accurate charting
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Comfort with family-centered care and clear bedside communication
