Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitor patient status closely and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary staff to implement care plans
- Participate in orientation and unit-based training to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely
- Advocate for patients and families, providing education and emotional support during critical moments
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (RN)
- Experience or specialization in PICU nursing (PICU) — expertise in pediatric critical care is a strong fit
- Willingness to participate in orientation as required by the facility
- Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
Education
- Active RN credential (Registered Nurse)
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational PICU clinical knowledge and pediatric assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary critical care environment
- Proficient documentation and patient monitoring practices
- Calm decision-making under pressure and strong situational awareness
