Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care every shift
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create effective care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and shift handoffs
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and unit best practices

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — New Hampshire licensure required or eligible
• Med/Surg experience preferred; readiness to work a Med/Surg floor
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain upon hire)
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork mindset to thrive in a busy unit

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and acute care practices
• Proficiency with medication administration and patient safety protocols
• Comfortable with IV therapy, wound care, and common post-op nursing tasks
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting skills
• Critical thinking, delegation, and the ability to triage effectively
