Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care for pediatric med/surg patients
Assess patient condition, develop and implement individualized nursing plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and per policy
Monitor and document patient progress accurately in the medical record
Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
Participate in orientation and precepting to support new team members

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington or eligibility for Washington licensure
BLS required; PALS strongly preferred for pediatric practice
Clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing; pediatric med/surg experience a plus
Current basic immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric assessment and age-appropriate care
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Patient and family education techniques
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Prioritization, delegation, and time management in a fast-paced unit
Collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork
