Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status throughout your shift
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless transitions
Document care and patient progress clearly and promptly in the medical record
Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team
Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to obtain/hold Hawaii RN license as required
Med/Surg experience (previous unit experience preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications encouraged
Strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and the ability to work 12.5-hour shifts
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

ADN or BSN in Nursing (or equivalent nursing degree)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg patient care principles and common interventions
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Proficient documentation skills in electronic health records
Ability to triage and escalate clinical changes appropriately
Time management, delegation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
