Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adult ICU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage ventilators and advanced cardiac support, and perform complex nursing interventions
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to develop and execute care plans
• Perform thorough assessments, document patient status accurately, and communicate critical information during handoffs
• Advocate for patients and families, providing education, emotional support, and clear communication during critical moments
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana (or eligible for licensure)
• Critical care/ICU nursing experience (prior ICU experience strongly preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or obtainable
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment, ventilator management, and advanced cardiac life support
• Excellent patient prioritization and time management
• Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
