Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients
Assess, monitor, and interpret patient status using clinical judgment
Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
Operate and manage advanced ICU equipment, including ventilators and infusion pumps
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
Document patient care clearly and communicate updates with families and team members
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or Compact RN licensure where applicable
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in high-acuity settings
Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and rapid decision-making
Ventilator basics and respiratory support understanding
Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and accurate documentation
Teamwork, clear communication, and patient advocacy
