Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with care, accuracy, and attention to patient comfort
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment following safety and imaging protocols
• Ensure radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles for patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical teams to deliver timely imaging results
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the electronic health record
• Inspect and maintain imaging equipment; report issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Provide compassionate patient education and support before, during, and after exams

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current state radiologic technologist license (or ability to obtain)
• ARRT (R) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong patient-centered communication skills and reliability
• Previous clinical experience as a radiologic technologist is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and PACS
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and ages
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize urgent studies
