Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Sacramento, CA

Start Date: 05-12-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Part-time (PT), 5-hour shifts per assignment; specific days and start/end times to be confirmed. Includes required orientation.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate patients to create individualized treatment plans
Deliver hands-on and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Document patient progress accurately and communicate changes to the team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility strategies
Participate in orientation and department meetings to maintain quality care

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license for California (required)
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent clinical degree preferred
Comfort working in an outpatient setting; pediatric experience a plus
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to pass facility onboarding and orientation processes

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's or Bachelor's in PT acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in evaluation and manual therapy techniques
Strong clinical reasoning and outcome-driven care planning
Proficient with electronic medical record documentation
Ability to teach therapeutic exercises and safe transfers to patients/caregivers
Team-oriented with good time management and organizational skills
