Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Assist nursing staff with patient transport, turning, and positioning
Collect specimens and assist with basic clinical procedures as trained
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Participate actively in orientation and team huddles to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification (listed as a primary skill for this role)
High school diploma or GED required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtained per facility policy
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous patient care or clinical experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED
PCT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles
Good observation skills and the ability to report clinical changes
