Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding for residents who need help
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Engage residents in social and therapeutic activities to promote well-being
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent credential
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with older adults and delivering hands-on bedside care
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with nursing staff

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and activities of daily living
• Safe patient handling and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic infection control and hygiene practices
• Reliable time management and ability to follow care plans
• Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills with residents and families
