Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care following St. Joseph Hospital policies and the Maine Board of Nursing standards
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Coordinate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse and Unit Director to ensure safe, effective care each shift
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Prioritize tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced night environment
• Participate in unit-level quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license (required)
• BLS required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current)
• ACLS required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current)
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and multi-tasking skills
• Comfortable working night shifts and collaborating with clinical leadership

Education

• Current Maine RN license (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care best practices and bedside clinical skills
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking on night shifts
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Time management and the ability to multi-task under pressure
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
• Knowledge of hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety principles
