Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and rapidly assess incoming ED patients to prioritize care
• Provide advanced cardiac monitoring and manage acute interventions
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care using AIDET and clear communication
• Document care accurately in Cerner and keep patient boards updated
• Coach colleagues and provide real-time feedback to support team performance
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed to support a high-volume environment
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active licensure required
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department
• Required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Experience with Cerner or a similar electronic medical record
• Comfort working in a high-volume Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing and triage expertise
• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry management
• Stroke care knowledge (NIHSS) and acute stroke workflows
• Pediatric emergency skills (PALS) and trauma care (TNCC)
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation
• Experience using Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors
• Patient experience best practices and effective communication with diverse populations
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume ED with variable patient ratios
