Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility under nursing guidance
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to promote continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Reliable attendance, strong communication, and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing ADL assistance with compassion and respect
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety procedures
• Proficient in observing and reporting patient changes accurately
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks on busy shifts
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
