Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; days not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and record vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and repositioning to promote mobility and prevent pressure injuries
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and maintain dignity at all times
Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing
State-required certifications and licenses for Pennsylvania CNA practice
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and comply with facility health requirements (TB, immunizations)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and valid CNA certificate

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and ADL assistance
Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
Ability to accurately take vitals and observe/report changes
Basic charting and documentation skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
