Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document resident condition and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene while promoting resident dignity
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Collaborate with nurses and support staff to follow care plans and deliver consistent care
• Create positive interactions through conversation, encouragement, and patient-centered attention

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Active or up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy
• Comfortable with resident lifting/transfer techniques and basic patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic clinical care routines and infection control practices
• Familiarity with charting fundamentals and accurate documentation
• Skill in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
