Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting daily living activities with dignity
• Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, feeding, and toileting while promoting independence
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to ensure a safe environment
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania or equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical teams
• Background check and any facility-required screening clearances
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing care and resident assistance techniques
• Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Infection prevention and proper personal protective equipment use
• Accurate charting and electronic or paper documentation practices
• Effective interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
