Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and fall-prevention efforts during your shift
• Document resident observations and care interventions clearly and timely
• Help with meal assistance and feeding as needed, observing dietary needs
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program
• Previous CNA experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads are welcome
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by the facility
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability for per-diem night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable assisting with lifts, transfers, and mobility devices
• Good communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
• Basic documentation skills; quick to learn electronic charting systems
• Calm under pressure and attentive to changes in resident condition
