Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Provide safe, attentive support during meal times and assist with feeding as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and any changes in condition accurately
• Keep resident rooms and care areas tidy and comfortable, promoting a healing environment
• Communicate clearly and promptly with nursing staff about resident needs and observations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and team members

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania and active listing on the state nurse aide registry
• BLS/CPR certification (required or willing to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience in direct resident care preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening where required
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy and willingness to complete onboarding requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with good communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care principles
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observations
• Familiarity with infection prevention practices and safe patient handling
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Team communication skills and a positive attitude in fast-paced settings
• Basic comfort with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility systems
