Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Assist with meal service and feeding support while monitoring dietary needs
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care or similar clinical setting preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) recommended or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent training
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, documenting care, recognizing changes in condition
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport with residents
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
