Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and document vital signs and observe changes in condition
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics
• Support meal times and feeding assistance while monitoring intake
• Communicate observations and concerns clearly to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and provide emotional support

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Comfortable working a 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation to the Gettysburg Center
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Knowledgeable about basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Able to follow care plans and accurately report observations
• Practices good infection control and safety procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
