Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Night shift (assignments vary by schedule)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the clinical team
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents and report safety concerns
Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania or completion of a state-approved CNA program
Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfortable working night shift hours and flexible per diem assignments
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles
Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes promptly
Good time management, observation, and interpersonal skills
