Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with patience and dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Provide compassionate support and companionship to residents — you make their day brighter
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations in resident charts
• Help with safe patient transfers, mobility assistance, and positioning
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required or able to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and TB testing as required by facility
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but enthusiastic newcomers are welcome
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside manner for older adult populations
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observations
• Basic knowledge of ADLs, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow care plans and directions
• Basic charting/EMR entry skills or willingness to learn facility systems
