Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Help with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, safe environments by following infection control and safety protocols
• Document care activities clearly and communicate observations to the care team to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently on per-diem shifts
• Ability to follow facility policies for infection control, documentation, and patient safety

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic assessments
• Knowledge of infection control practices and PPE use
• Good communication skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
• Accurate documentation habits and attention to detail
