Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Perform safe and accurate vital signs monitoring and routine assessments
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and personal hygiene needs
• Document patient status and care delivered promptly and clearly
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with the nursing team, patients, and families
• Support emergency response and escalate changes in condition to nursing staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, patient-focused, and able to handle the physical demands of the role
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and basic nursing assistant skills
• Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate bedside manner and attention to detail
