Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and following approved policies, standards of care, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family teaching
• Document patient status, care delivered, and outcomes according to standards and hospital policy
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance to help shape better care
• Provide clinical guidance and support across units when needed to maintain continuity of care
• Apply critical thinking to promote patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend/holiday
• Ability to float to other units as a Travel RN when needed
• Education verification required prior to start
• Trauma, Ortho, or Neuro unit experience preferred
