Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs, bathing, grooming, and toileting with respect and dignity
• Assist nursing staff with turning, transfers, and mobility support to maintain safety
• Document patient observations and report changes promptly to the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control and safety protocols
• Support residents’ emotional needs through patient, respectful communication and companionship

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
• State of Pennsylvania certification or eligibility to be certified
• Comfort working night shifts and in a fast-paced care environment
• Willingness to complete background checks and facility-required immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Teamwork and ability to follow direction from licensed nursing staff
