Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents
• Provide compassionate, respectful interaction to enhance patient well-being
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record and communicate handoffs to the team
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to help deliver individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
• Minimum availability for evening per diem shifts; reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and basic care tasks

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Familiarity with taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
• Comfortable with direct patient care tasks including bathing, feeding and toileting
• Basic charting skills and the ability to communicate observations to nursing staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Teamwork and time management to support efficient shift coverage
