Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support mobility and safe transfers, following patient-specific care plans
• Monitor, record, and report patient conditions and any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Assist licensed staff with routine clinical tasks and follow established infection-control practices
• Build trusting relationships with patients by communicating clearly and respectfully

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or required by facility
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
• Infection control and proper use of PPE
• Basic vital signs monitoring and charting
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Teamwork and clear, respectful communication with patients and staff
• Dependability and adaptability in fast-paced care environments
