Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on basic care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document resident condition and vital signs accurately and promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Communicate clearly with nurses and care team members about resident needs and changes
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection control best practices and PPE use
• Accurate charting and clear verbal handoffs
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
