Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Perform accurate documentation and support timely charting
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to support holistic care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — must be valid in Pennsylvania
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Able to perform physical aspects of the role, including safe patient transfers and standing for shifts
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of assisting with ADLs and resident hygiene
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Basic charting skills and ability to follow care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
