Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with the care team and participate in care planning
• Document resident care in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Active listing on the state CNA registry as required
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work per diem evening shifts, including flexibility for varied days
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable providing direct patient care and personal support
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems a plus
