Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support patient safety through proper transfer and fall-prevention techniques
• Assist with feeding and basic nutrition needs, and document intake as required
• Maintain clean, organized patient environments and follow infection-control protocols
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Document care and observations promptly and accurately in the patient record

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification (state-recognized)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently on per-diem assignments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with the care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Competence with taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and standard safety precautions
• Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic or paper-based)
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and adapt to changing patient needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
