Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support patient comfort and dignity through respectful hygiene and grooming assistance
• Monitor and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Accurately document care, vitals, and interventions in accordance with facility policy
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and a positive resident experience

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts and per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
• Compassionate approach to resident care and attention to detail
• Willingness to follow facility policies, including infection control and documentation standards

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical teams
